Arts Week Day 1 08.01.2019

Year 2 were introduced to their Arts Week theme today - reptiles! The children started their day off by finding out about the fashion designer Alexander McQueen and made fantastic fact files about him. They loved how he used lots of reptile prints on his clothing. Then they went on to practise their sketching skills by sketching different reptiles. They also took part in a 'Big Cat' workshop where they created small painted image of a lion, jaguar, panther or tiger (depending on which group they belong to). These images will become part of a whole school art piece which we are really looking forward to seeing!
