Today, Year 2 enjoyed their prize for winning the Leeds KS1 writing competition - a visit from the author Saviour Pirotta! The children loved meeting him, asking questions and finding out what it is like to be an author. He told both classes about a story that he is currently writing. They loved listening to his creative ideas and watching him bringing the stories to life! Saviour left both classes with the challenge of thinking of a name for the stories he told. If he picks a title the children think of, he will dedicate the book to the class! We are definitely going to rise to this challenge! Saviour was so impressed with the children's creativity and enjoyed sharing his stories with them. His visit has inspired Year 2 to write lots of stories and become talented authors!
