This week Year 5 have been learning a range of new chopping techniques as part of their restaurant topic. They have learnt how to use the bridge and claw grips to safely chop vegetables. Each group were given the task of using these new techniques to make coleslaw. The children loved this and ended up asking for the recipe to try it again at home. Some children surprised themselves as they told us they don't usually eat vegetables but they couldn't get enough of this super healthy coleslaw!
