Natural disaster detectives
On Wednesday, year 6 turned detective to use atlases and fact sheets to learn more about where natural disasters have happened in the past. We used our atlas skills to plot on a map where earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes and blizzards happened. We then used this information to decide where we thought some of the most dangerous places in the world are, as well as where we thought the safest places in the world are. Luckily for us we learnt that the United Kingdom is quite a long way from fault lines and volcanoes so we are quite safe.
