Nurse Visit 15.02.2019
Y2 were lucky enough to be visited by Sarah Clarke - the charge nurse of the intensive care unit at the LGI hospital in Leeds. The children were able to share all their knowledge about nurses in the past (Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole) and Sarah helped them to understand how nursing had changed since then and what it is like to be a nurse. Sarah also brought in lots of hospital equipment for the children to look at and use which they loved! The children asked some great questions too. I think we might have some nurses in the making in Year 2. What a fantastic way to round up our medicine learning challenge!
