In Year 5, we have been looking at World War One poetry. Some of the children's favourite poems were; Dulce Et Decorum Est by Wilfred Owen and For the Fallen by Laurence Binyon.
Children have worked incredibly hard to write their own poems based around remembrance and the experiences of war. They have worked hard to include; rhyming couplets, similes, metaphors, imagery and alliteration. Here are two of the poems that the children loved in Year 5. They are by Archie and Lilly-Belle. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did.
