Roman Mosaics
For our art curriculum over this half term, year 5 have been researching traditional Roman mosaics. We began our project by completing a research page. For this, we looked at pictures of Roman mosaics from the time and commented on the style, patterns and colours which were common throughout. We then had an attempt at drawing our own patterns and think about how we could recreate these in a Roman style. Despite the tricky process, Year 5 managed to create some brilliant designs and wonderful mosaics. Here's a small selection of the finished product:
