Classroom Earthquake 19.02.2018
A strange occurrence happened in Year 6 on Monday when an earthquake hit! We have been learning about tectonic plates and fault lines and how they cause natural disasters such as earthquakes to happen. To help us visualise this, we used our tables and where they meet as plates and lines. Using classroom equipment we built miniature cities on our tables. Unfortunately, the tectonic plates were pushing against each other and building pressure. As the plates slipped against each other, the pressure was release and an earthquake was born! This really helped us to understand what was happening under our feet on the world we walk on.
