The Magic Library (Part 2)
The Simply Super Superhero
This is Reception's entry into the 2017 Golden Owl awards. A time lapse animation about the adventures of Springbank Boy as he prepares to face his nemesis - Destructo!
On Friday Farsley Springbank was visited by the tech team from Google who delivered a virtual reality day for all the children in KS2. "Google Expeditions" are collections, scenes or virtual reality panoramas — 360° photo spheres, 3D images and video — annotated with details, highlights, and questions for the children to discuss. The children explored various parts of the planet wearing headsets which immersed them under the sea, by the pyramids in Egypt and even stood them alongside the first men on the moon! It was an absolutely brilliant experience and a lesson that I'm sure the children will remember for a long time!
Reception Christmas Video 'All About Christmas'
How to use iMovie
In Year 3’s "How to use iMovie" the children have produced an instructional video all about how to use the app iMovie. Hopefully, this will help and inspire all Springbank pupils to make their own films to share as Learning Logs in the future!
The Quest for the Golden Owl
The Quest for the Golden Owl was our first entry into the Leeds Young Film Festival Golden Owls competition and we were subsequently nominated in the Best KS2 Film category. Written and performed by pupils from across the school, it tells the story of a group of children who are desperate to do well at the awards ceremony...
Connected - BBC Ten Pieces Response
Year 5 have completed an animation that is a creative response to "Connect It" - a piece of contemporary music written by Scottish composer Anna Meredith. This is part of the BBC Ten Pieces music competition and the film now takes pride of place on the BBC website. Link here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02prlmk
Climate Change Poem
For the Year 4 assembly on climate change the children filmed and performed this dramatic poem about how climate change will affect future generations.
Christmas in Springbank
As part of their business enterprise project Year 4 wrote and made a music video for their own original Christmas song - Christmas in Springbank. This sold hundreds of copies across Leeds and was featured all over local press (YEP) and radio. A great stocking filler!
As part of E-Safety day 4CB created this film reminding pupils of some of the issues around internet safety.
