Today children have worked alongside students from Leeds Beckett University to learn all about their Heritage. The students and teachers have worked together to plan a day focusing on the local area of Farsley. Historic England have also been involved in the planning of the day.
Children thoroughly enjoyed working alongside the students and learning more about their own personal Heritage through stories and discussions about items and places that are special to them. Children walked around the local area to look at buildings in Farsley that are linked to the community and talked about the importance of those buildings. In the afternoon, we looked at a series of maps dating back to 1909 to see how Farsley has changed over time. Here are some pictures to show you what the children did throughout the day.
