India Day 8.2.17
Today Year 4 celebrated the end of their topic with a focus day. There were lots of great activities that all of the children took part in. We all made Sweet Potato and Lentil Dahl and the children enjoyed eating this with chapattis and rice. They also designed and printed traditional Indian patterns, having carved their design into potatoes. The children also looked at some traditional Bollywood dance moves and choreographed their own routines. The children also created a paisley design and although this is named after a town in Scotland, its origins can be traced back to the Kashmir region much earlier.
It was a fantastic day and it was lovely to see so many of the children dressed up. A huge thank you to parents for organising this.
