India Day!
Year 4 have had a fabulous day today! They have really enjoyed learning about India over the course of this half term. We have done a lot of creative writing around our topic as well as learning about the history and geography of the country. Today however, was the most exciting day. Children across the year group were split into groups and were given the opportunity to do some beautiful Indian printing and some paisley designs - we will hopefully be able to put these on display in the hall. They also did some cooking. We made a traditional Indian dish called dal, made with lentils and spices. All children had the opportunity to chop and mix and then taste their food at the end. Some even said they'd like to make it again at home! I think what the children enjoyed most of all though was the Bollywood dancing which they were all absolutely amazing at! We were so impressed (as I'm sure you were too) with their performance in assembly.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
