Sunnybank Mills workshop 2 15.06.18

As part of their Sunnybank Mills WW1 workshops, the Year 5 pupils have designed and created 'peg people' based on people who would have lived in Farsley over 100 years ago.

In addition to this, the children learned about Princess Mary's idea to send gifts to the soldiers on the frontline. Princess Mary was 16 at the time when she came up with this lovely idea. The children then created their own gifts for people who fought during WW1 based on the originals that soldiers would have received.
