Today Year 5 and Year 1 were lucky enough to take part in a video conference with a space scientist from Leicester's Space Centre. Children asked the scientist (Rob) lots of interesting questions about the Earth, our Solar System and what it is like to travel and work in space. They especially loved learning about GAM's (astronaut space suits) and black holes. The children loved learning about space from a real, working scientist and were able to recall lots of interesting facts after the conference. The conference left children wanting to know even more about space and they were extremely excited to go back to their classrooms and learn more about space and the Earth's Solar System.
