Today all the children in Year 4 went on a trip to Sunnybank Mills as part of our Learning Challenge - Is Leeds the best city ever? 4D visited the mill in the morning and 4H visited in the afternoon. All the children had a wonderful time and learnt a lot about how the mill used to produce cloth. Children had the opportunity to do some weaving and also to use a loom. They had a tour of the mill and we're able to ask lots of questions about what life was like when people worked there. They even went up the tallest tower of the mill with 66 steps! The staff at the mill were very impressed with the children's knowledge of Samuel Marsden - the children knew even more facts about him than they did!
