Year 3 went on a trip to Nell Bank for their Stone Age workshop in the second week of the term.  It was lovely to not only see how engaged the children were with learning about their new topic but also how they took all the lessons on respect and being ready to learn that we have discussed and showed the Nell Bank staff just what they were capable of!  Whilst at Nell Bank, the children took part in a carousel of activities in the morning. They decorated their 'cave' with cave paintings, wove a basket to gather their berries and created a fire to cook their food and warm themselves and then created their own dens in the afternoon using natural resources.  They are looking forward to finding out more about the Stone Age.
