D.T project - Restaurant evening:
As part of their D.T food technology unit, Year 5 took part in their very own 'restaurant evening' this week.
At the start of this half term, the children were given a brief; to design and make a healthy meal with a tomato sauce base. The children were split into teams and researched some different recipes such as chilli con carne, pizza and penne pasta. Once they had done their research, they picked a recipe that they wanted to cook for their parents and adults.
Over the last few weeks, the children have been working hard taste testing, pricing up ingredients, designing menus and place mats - all ready to host their very own restaurant evening.
The night was a roaring success and the children said that they wish they could do this every term! Take a look at some of the brilliant photos below.
