Calverley Wood Walk
This week Year 1 went of their second walk of the year. This time they headed off to Calverley woods where they were treated to a beautiful display of the signs of Spring. These included, blossom, trees bursting into leaf, carpets of blue bells and fragrant wild garlic. They spotted two of their adopted trees from forest school sessions (silver birch and Holly) and were delighted to see the Holly in flower and the silver birch showing off its catkins. The children spotted many human and physical features on the walk further reviewing their knowledge from geography lessons this year.
