This week has been a shorter one with the bank holiday but still been a busy one! On Monday and Tuesday, we went to the Discovery Centre in Leeds to learn more about the Romans. Whilst there, the children took part in some role play, designed their own Roman coin and looked at lots of artefacts. The children had a great time and represented Springbank brilliantly!
In maths, we have finishing off decimals and moving onto money. The children have been learning to write money using decimals and converting between pounds and pence. In computing, the children have continued to use the website 'PhotoPea' to change the colours of digital images. In reading and writing, we have continued with the traditional tale of Goldilocks and used our oracy skills to practise structuring a debate. On Friday, the children went swimming! This is great practise and getting them ready for their weekly swimming sessions in Year 5.
