This week in writing, we have been practising our oracy skills. We know that oracy is important as it helps us to communicate clearly and will improve our confidence speaking aloud. We looked at the traditional tale of Goldilocks and the three bears and then put our own twist on it! In history, we started our unit on the Romans. We learnt about who the Romans where and when it happened. The children created timelines with other aspects of history that they have already learnt (Stone Age, Iron Age, Egyptians, Greeks) and placed the Romans and Roman Britian on there. In computing, we are learning about photo editing. The children had a go on the photo editing app 'PhotoPea' to rotate and crop various images. In art, we have started our research page around our artist, Agnis Smallwood. We are off to see her in her studio at Sunnybank Mills on Monday which is very exciting! In maths, we have been learning about decimals and dividing 1 and 2 digit numbers by 100. In PE, we have started our units on cricket and athletics. In outdoor learning, the children were learning about their environment and what we can do to help at school.
