This week in maths, the children have been learning about fractions. They have spent time finding and recognising halves of shapes and quantities and have been showing us different ways to do this practically with paper and maths resources.
In English, they have been practising and consolidating their set 3 sounds and building up reading fluency in their phonics groups. They have been imagining what it would have been like to wake up and see the Great Fire of London out their bedroom window and have been writing diary entries using the past tense.
In history, we used our imaginations again to act out how the Fire of London spread with children pretending to be Thomas the baker, King Charles 2nd and The Mayor of London. We saw some lovely, confident performances.
In PSHE, we learnt about different jobs we can do and that males and females can do the same jobs. We also talked about what jobs we might like to do when we're older.
