Summer 2 Week 4
Well, this week has certainly been hot! We tried to keep cool as much as possible, whilst still enjoying being in the great outdoors.
In maths, the children started to learn about money and the value of the different coins.They have all had great fun playing with the shop provision in the classroom and working out what coins they needed to pay for things.
In English, we worked on writing descriptive phrases about a setting from a book called 'The Magic Callaloo, which is an African retelling of the story of Rapunzel.
In DT, we continued our fruit salad project and came up with some designs for our fruit salad based on what fruits we enjoyed during the fruit tasting in week 2 - we are lookig forward to making the fruit salads next week.
1W made bubble wands in the cool(ish) shade of the trees during forest school with Mrs Bennett.
