Hello!
This week in reception we have been thinking about moving into Year 1. We have talked about things we are good at, things we love and what we have enjoyed about reception. We have discussed what we are looking forward to about starting in Year 1. We have explored different emotions and how we are feeling about changes.
In maths we have continued to explore teen numbers, seeing numbers as one full ten and extra ones. We have also been exploring and representing patterns within numbers up to 10, including evens and odds, double facts and how quantities can be distributed equally.
Next week is Health Week and there are lots of fun activities planned, including a skipping workshop, smoothie making, a sports gala, fun morning and the teddy bear picnic.
On Friday it is Toy Day where the children can bring a toy to play with. No electric toys are allowed.
Please continue to ensure your child has a sun hat, sun cream and water each day.
We can’t believe the last week has arrived! We look forward to a fun week with the children before the holidays and their transition to Year 1.
