Temporary for one year – A1/B1– starting as 1st September 2021 until 31st August 2022

We are looking to appoint two Teaching Assistants for Key Stage 2 to join our popular and successful school.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed person who would thrive on this opportunity to develop his/her experience and make a significant contribution to school, both in and out of the classroom.  We are a close knit, hardworking and friendly staff team; our children are keen to learn and our parents and governors are fully supportive of our wonderful school.

Your role would be to support the teachers in delivering the curriculum.  This would include working with small groups of children, one to one support and with working children who have special educational needs.   The role will involve assessing and recording pupils’ learning and identifying their next steps in terms of development.

Experience working within a school setting is desirable, however further training can be given.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be hard‐working, positive, creative and enthusiastic to inspire and motivate.
  • Consistently ensure the effective learning and progress from all pupils.
  • Form positive working relationships with children, staff and parents.
  • Be an effective team player.
  • Have good English and maths skills.

We can offer:

  • Happy, confident children who enjoy learning and achieve well.
  • A friendly, welcoming school with talented, dedicated and happy staff who are hardworking and passionate about their roles and responsibilities.
  • A supportive and active Governing Board

If you are passionate about working with children and supporting their learning, this could be the job for you!

It is important that prospective candidates feel we are the right school for them and vice versa. We want our staff to be happy at work so they can thrive professionally, delivering engaging and challenging learning for our children; happy staff means happy children and happy children learn! We aim for both staff and children to ‘be the best they can be.’

Due to the current situation we will not be able to show you around the school but please visit our school website to get a feel for us https://www.farsleyspringbank.co.uk/  In addition a phone call with the Senior Leadership Team can be arranged to discuss the school and the job. Please e-mail info@farsleyspringbank.co.uk  if you like to arrange for this to take place.
