Summer 1 Week 2

On Monday, we had a very exciting trip to Sunnybank Mills to visit the art studio of Agnis Smallwood. Whilst we were there, we learnt about the history of Farsley and how important it was around the world. The children were able to practising weaving which will help them when we are creating our final art piece. In maths, we have been learning how to compare and order decimals. We know that we look at the ones column first, then the tenths and finally the hundreths. In writing and reading, we have been looking at Daddy Bear's witness statement to the crime that happened at his house. We have been using inverted commas in writing to write up the police report and in reading we have been using oracy to discuss whether or not we think Goldilocks was guilty or innocent. In PE we have been working together in cricket to score points and in athletics the children have been focusing on jumping. In history, the children have been learning about how the Roman's invaded Britain.
