Year 3 have been very busy with their learning this week! In Design and Technology, the children enjoyed taste testing a variety of foods to help them decide on the best toppings for their healthy pizzas. They explored different flavours and textures, sharing their opinions and discussing which combinations they liked the most.
In Science, the children became young geologists as they investigated rocks and their properties. Using vinegar, sandpaper and water, they carried out experiments to test whether rocks were hard or soft. The children observed how the rocks reacted and recorded their findings carefully, developing their scientific enquiry skills while having lots of fun.
In writing this week, Year 3 have been studying the Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll. They have had great fun trying to decipher the nonsense words and enjoyed coming up with their own.
3L have also had a fantastic time on their walk at Shipley Glen.
