Summer 1 Week 5

6F have been taking part in their bikeability training over the last week. The children have completed their Level 1 and Level 2 training which included lots of safety tips. The children practiced these skills on the playground before heading off onto the road for a ride to apply all their new knowledge. The training aims to give Year 6 the confidence and capability to ride safely and effectively in their local area. 6B will take part in the same training the week after the holidays and will need their bikes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as per email and app message reminders.

We have thrown ourselves into our post-SATs maths learning all about planning and running our own Theme Park, building up to our very exciting trip to Flamingo Land. Children have worked out the build cost, budgeted for staff and have even been filming their own adverts on iPads, persuading the public to visit their park.

It has been a very busy half term with SATs and we hope everyone has a fantastic half-term and manages to enjoy the sun. We look forward to returning in June, where work will begin on our fantastic production of Beauty and the Beast.

Have a great half term and well done for your incredible hard work through SATs - enjoy the sunshine!
