First week back:
Wow, what a lovely first week back Year 3 have had! We are so impressed with how quickly the children have settled into their new routines and we can't believe how much learning we have done already! On Tuesday, we launched our new class book: The Twits. We went into the garden to discover that Mr Twit had covered our trees in toilet paper! The children were appalled with his naughty prank and wrote a brilliant character description in their writing to make sure the people of Farsley knew who to look out for.
In Science, we launched our new topic: rocks and soils. The children became geologists and looked at a variety of different rocks, identifying the properties of each rock. Once they had done this, they then used a dichotomous key to identify and classify each of the rocks.
We have loved seeing the children settle into their new life in KS2, we can't wait to see what the rest of Autumn term is like!
