Today Year 1 have enjoyed a full day of art. We started by researching Michelle Reader, an artist who makes sculptures from recycled materials. Once we had lots of ideas, we searched through our own selection of 'junk' to see what we thought we could make. We were very excited at the idea of making an alien!
The children then came up with several designs for their sculptures before selecting the best parts to make the 'ultimate junk model alien'. Then came the fun part!
Thank you all for your amazing donations of bottles, boxes and tubes. We really have had the best day.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
