This week, Year 2 took part in this years Science Week. The children took part in a range of experiments and activities which sparked a love of science and allowed us to consider how science applies to the real world. At the beginning of the week, we conducted some experiments to investigate a scientific process called the capillary action. We grew a rainbow using markers, kitchen role and water. We also watched the colours from skittles dissolve on a plate to create a patter, and completed a magic milk experiment using food colouring and soap. Later in the week we got to learn about owls. It was amazing and we even got to hold them. To finish off the week we made moth and mud sculptures in the garden with Ms. Fletcher. Year 2 had an amazing Science week packed full of lots of activities, we hope you enjoy looking through the highlights of the week.
