Testing properties of materials:
Today in science, we looked at whether some materials were soluble or insoluble. The children had a range of different materials such as salt, sugar, flour and oil and had to mix them with 300ml of warm water, observing what happens.
The children then recorded their results in a table and we discussed that when a solute dissolves in a solvent to create a solution, its particles spread out so that they can no longer be seen.
