Year 2 worked their socks off to make the Valentine’s Fair a LOVEly experience! The children have spent weeks planning this event and worked hard in teams to make a variety of products to sell including; butterfly Parma violets, stain glass hearts and inspirational love notes. They also did face paints and "paint a pebble" on the day. The children also were in charge of publicity, designing posters and advertising their fair in front of the whole school. They had to make some difficult decisions over pricing and got to use their maths skills when working out the change that was needed. Thank you for everyone who came to support us; we are sorry we sold out and so some people did not get the chance to buy something! They made a profit of £319.64. 10% of the proceeds will be going to the Leeds children's heart surgery charity and the Year 2 children will vote to decide how they want to spend the rest of their profit. Well done Year 2 you did an awesome job!
