It has been another busy and fantastic week of learning in Year 4!
In Maths, the children deepened their understanding of place value up to 1,000 through flexible partitioning and plotting numbers accurately on a number line, alongside crafting catchy chants to sharpen fluency in their 3 and 4 times tables.
Inspired by the story The Lost Thing, Year 4 challenged themselves to expand simple sentences in Writing by incorporating adjectives, expressive adverbs and prepositions.
Art saw the launch of our new half-term topic exploring Grayson Perry’s work and its inspiration drawn from Ancient Greek pottery - the intricate detail in the children's artist studies was truly impressive!
Finally, in PE we welcomed special guest coaches from Leeds Rhinos for a dynamic football skill-building session, followed by a high-energy lesson focused on agility and playground teamwork. We are thoroughly impressed with the effort and wonderful work Year 4 has produced so far!
