5W climb Pen-y-Ghent
5W had an incredible day taking on the challenge of climbing Pen-y-ghent. Despite the steep sections and changeable weather, the children showed outstanding determination, resilience and teamwork throughout the walk. As they made their way up the mountain, the weather began to clear so that they were eventually rewarded with a view from the top. Every child rose to the challenge, encouraging one another and demonstrating a fantastic attitude from start to finish. We were incredibly proud of their perseverance and behaviour, which reflected our school values perfectly. Reaching the summit was a huge achievement and one that the children will remember for years to come.
