Week 5 

In Science, the children have been learning about seasonal changes. They have explored the different seasons and considered how to describe the changes that occur throughout the year. The children have been developing their understanding of changes in weather, the environment and the natural world.

Our History learning has focused on the 1960s, with particular emphasis on Neil Armstrong and the historic Apollo 11 mission.

The children have enjoyed learning about the events surrounding the first Moon landing and have developed their understanding of this significant moment in history. They were particularly enthusiastic when applying their learning through imaginative play. In the construction area, the children designed and built their own rocket ships, demonstrating creativity and collaboration. 

In Maths, the children have been developing their understanding of ordering and comparing. They have been learning to arrange objects and numbers according to size and quantity, identifying the greatest and smallest amounts. Through practical activities, the children have been encouraged to compare quantities and explain their mathematical thinking.

It has been a very positive week, with the children demonstrating enthusiasm and curiosity across all areas of their learning. We look forward to continuing to build on these experiences in the weeks ahead.
