Art Week 2019
This week year 5 have worked looking at the artist of Sarah Taylor, an illustrator who is well known for her colourful, animal illustrations. Throughout the week we have been building the skills we need to create our very own Sarah Taylor illustrations. We continued improving our sketching skills, building on from our building drawings from last half term. We sketched some wonderful woodland animals which forms the basis of our Sarah Taylor drawings before we add the paint. The trickiest technique to master was blowing paint, which took a lot of control and focus to make sure it covered the area that we wanted. We focused on colours and began to think about what colours we would want to use to give our animals some personality! Well done, year 5!
