Year 6 kicked off 2024 with a jam packed week of the arts. Our main project was based around the artist Sarah Taylor who creates art using blow painting. We researched her work, practiced mixing colours, thought about complimentary and contrasting colours and finally created out own versions of her incredible art. We have also had an amazing workshop with the fabulous Urban Strides, learning how to break dance. We visited Leeds Playhouse to watch their 'in-the-round' production of Oliver! We watched fabulous performances by the Plummer Drummer and Maia Band. We used drama with Leeds Playhouse to show the impact of humans on the environment. It really has been an amazing start to the New Year and all the children produced art work they can be incredibly proud of.
Below is just a very small selection of photographs showing some of the amazing work going on this week!
