Viking Day 03.06.19

Viking day!

 

Year five had a wonderful start to their Viking topic this half term by taking part in a Viking day. Astrid, our viking guide, brought in a range of artefacts for us to sketch and observe, thinking like real archeologists about what the Vikings might have used them for. We thought about the way the the Vikings lived compared to how we live now and drew a Viking floor plan. After our recent work on the Romans, it was really interesting to see how Britain had changed.
