World War One Debate - 23.11.18
First World War Debate
Today year 5 put their speaking skills to the test by taking part in a debate about the First World War. We were put in groups, with each group given a country who played a part in the beginnings of the first world war: France, England, Russia, Germany, Austria-Hungry or Italy. We received letters from the leaders of these countries explaining why there were the best and why they think they should go to war. Then the debate began! The children really impressed with their ability to listen and respond to the arguments of others. Well done, year 5!
