Practical Maths 24.09.2018
In Year 1 we use a wide variety of resources to make our maths as fun and practical as possible! Over the last few weeks we have been looking at place value, using our resources to represent numbers in many different ways. The children have had great fun exploring the Numicon, beads, teddy bears and more!
We also make sure that we have maths resources available to the children whilst they are accessing the provision areas of the classroom, meaning they are always able to impress us with their knowledge. We have already seem some brilliant maths whilst the children are working independently and can't wait to see these skills grow and develop as the year progresses.
