Observing over time 10.03.2021

Observing over time.

On Wednesday, Year 6 used their skills in observing over time by experimenting with hot water and skittles. We saw that as the hot water dissolved the hard sugar shell, the colours were drawn to the middle of the plate or Petri dish. We discussed how this was because the food colouring that was mixed with the sugar diffused into the water. After this, we explored capillary action by growing our own rainbows! I’m sure you’ll agree that the outcome of our science was a sight to behold!!
