Patterns
This morning, Reception went out on the field to collect lots of natural objects to make patterns from. This week, we have been learning about the number 3 and using language such as first, second, third, small, medium, large, smallest and biggest. The children created their patterns and described them using mathematical language. Some children decided to focus on the size of their objects, some chose the shape and some chose to make patterns using the colours of their leaves. We all had a great time being outside and using the items we found on the school field.
