Fairburn Ings

Year 2 visited Fairburn Ings as part of their most recent Science topic of plants. Thankfully the weather held out so we only got a little bit soggy in the morning! The children loved having a walk around the reserve spotting different plants and birds. Some children were fortunate enough to even find a baby frog - they had to be super quiet so they didn't scare it away. The children also took part in a workshop where they went on a bingo inspired plant hunt, learned what a plant needs in order to grow and built a sculptural representation of a flower.
