In maths this week, Year 6 have been learning all about angles. Today's focus was on angles within triangles and quadrilaterals. Before we could begin to calculate these angles, we needed to know key information - how many degrees did all the internal angles sum to. We discussed what we thought and then using different types of triangles and quadrilaterals, we proved what we had learnt. This then helped us to visualise what was happening when we were calculating missing angles in these shapes. It may not look much from the pictures but as you can tell...it blew some children's minds!
