Alien Designs 17.10.19
The children have been working really hard over the past few weeks to design and make an alien out of junk.
Firstly we looked at some existing 'junk' sculptures by the artist Michelle Reader and said what we liked and disliked about them before designing our own. We then got to bring our designs to life using boxes, bottles and bottle tops. Our aliens looked fantastic once they were painted and we even got to practise our colour mixing in order to paint them alien colours. We then evaluated them by thinking about what we liked and what we could do better next time.
