Sunnybank Mills Trip!

 

Today the children visited Sunnybank Mills to learn more about the Industrial Revolution and Farsley's part in it! The children were greeted by John Gaunt and his archive team who talked to the children about the history of the mill and what they made there. The children then split into two groups with one group taking a guided tour of the mill with Mr Gaunt and the other group taking part in some weaving with Agnis and a tour of the archives with Rachel. The children really enjoyed their time at the mill and it was lovely to see them engage with their local heritage and ask so many wonderful questions!
