Florence Nightingale Visit 14.01.2019

Year 2 loved their visit from Florence Nightingale today! Florence visited both classes and took them back in time to experience life in Scutari hospital. They learnt about what the hospitals were like before Florence arrived. The children weren't very impressed with the conditions of the hospitals, especially the smells! They were all put to work to help Florence improve the conditions of the hospital. All the children made very convincing nurses and porters! It was a wonderful introduction to our new learning challenge 'What are the momentous moments in medicine?' and really brought the children's learning to life!
