Coke and Mentos!
On Friday, we finished our science week with a bang…literally! We looked at comparative and fair testing through exploration of the question ‘Does the amount of mentos added to coke affect the height of the reaction?’ The children predicted the outcome of this experiment and then we went and carried it out! At one point, our experiment went a little bit wrong and this produced the perfect opportunity to chat about how this might affect our results and if we were working as a scientist, what would we do? Miss Brayshay then sacrificed her little bottle of coke and we compared what happened with the same amount of mentos but a smaller volume of liquid!
