Week 10 (Sum 2 Wk 3) 15.06.20-19.06.20

Hi Reception!

This week our work is based around the book 'What the Ladybird Heard' by Julia Donaldson. There are lots of super activities for you to try at home and for those of you in school we will be doing lots of these too. Keep practising your phonics and tricky words, keep reading lots to keep your brains sparkly! And practise your numbers by doing counting and having a go at some of the websites we have listed in the Learning at Home section.

Enjoy the activities and we hope you are all staying well.

Black Lives Matter

In response to the recent events regarding George Floyd and the campaign 'Black Lives Matter', we have found some stories that will help our children to understand what racism is and how we can stand up to it. These stories will explain that sometimes people are judged by the colour of their skin and how they can be treated unfairly. You can have discussions with your child around the topics in the stories and discuss:

  • What was unfair in the story
  • What can be done to make things fair
  • Do you think the characters behaved in the right way?
