Science topic - Plants
For our new topic in science, year 3 are looking at plants. As part of the curriculum, the children need to confidently understand the components a plant needs in order to live and grow. The children identified that a plant needs water, air, space, light and nutrients in order to survive. In order to test this, the children set up an experiment where they removed one of the vital components. Over the next couple of weeks, the children will observe what happens to their plants and record any changes that they can see.
